Susan Gehr has a BA in Women’s Studies with a thematic program in Native American Studies from UC Santa Cruz, an MA in Linguistics from the University of Oregon, and an MLIS from San Jose State University. In addition to her work as a reference librarian, she is the instructor for LIBR 5 Research Skills at CR. Formerly a director for the Karuk Tribe’s Language Program, she published a dictionary of the Karuk language. She has taught computer basics courses for the Happy Camp Community Computer Center and NAS 392 Indigenous Identities in Film at Humboldt State University.
