College of the Redwoods has computers available for students to use at home!
Students in need of computers to complete their online coursework may be able to check out devices for the duration of the semester at no charge.
Computers checked out through this program can be used to access courses on Canvas, library resources, and other web applications as long as you have Wi-Fi access to the internet. You will need to create a free student Microsoft account to use Office 365. To create your account, go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office
Please be aware that certain classes and academic programs may require use of specialized software that is not available on these computers. You should consult with your instructor for advice on accessing those software programs.
At the Eureka campus: Contact the Library by calling 707-476-4260 or email email@example.com to checkout a computer. You will be contacted by library staff with a "Laptop Loan Agreement" to be completed and returned electronically, and staff will call you to arrange pickup of the computer. Computers must be picked up and returned in person; no mail delivery is available.
