CR's Laptop Lending Library

College of the Redwoods has computers available for students to use at home! 

Students in need of computers to complete their online coursework may be able to check out devices for the duration of the semester at no charge.

Computers checked out through this program can be used to access courses on Canvas, library resources, and other web applications as long as you have Wi-Fi access to the internet. You will need to create a free student Microsoft account to use Office 365. To create your account, go to

Please be aware that certain classes and academic programs may require use of specialized software that is not available on these computers. You should consult with your instructor for advice on accessing those software programs.

At the Eureka campus: Contact the Library by calling 707-476-4260 or email to checkout a computer.  You will be contacted by library staff with a "Laptop Loan Agreement" to be completed and returned electronically, and staff will call you to arrange pickup of the computer. Computers must be picked up and returned in person; no mail delivery is available

Students living at a distance from the main campus may contact one of our other CR locations below.

  • Del Norte: Contact the Del Norte campus at 707-465-2300 between 8:00 a.m - 5:00 pm Mon-Fri. to make arrangements for a computer.
  • Klamath-Trinity: Contact the Klamath-Trinity site office at 530-625-4821 between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. to make arrangements for a computer. If you need to leave a message, please include your phone number and your student ID number.
