Library Services for Faculty

The library offers services to faculty that support your students' success and learning outcomes

Borrowing privileges

Faculty may borrow any general collection books for the semester. Reference books may be checked out for faculty on a case-by-case basis; request this service if you want to use a reference book in your classroom or if you want to review it over the weekend.

Faculty may put any general collection book on reserve to make it available for any student to access any time the library is open. Books at Del Norte or Eureka may be requested for reserve at either library.

Faculty may access online databases from off campus or wireless devices by using your DataTel number (aka employee number) as your password. Online databases offer powerful features that can be used to set up reading lists, works cited lists, saved files, or folders. Articles can be saved as PDFs and posted to Canvas or other sites that are accessible only to enrolled students. PDFs can also be emailed to anyone. Contact the library if you'd like a demonstration on basic or advanced features.
