Elections and voting are a defining feature of democracies, and they are critical elements of our system of government. For nearly 250 years the right to participate in elections has been a sign of favor for some groups and the lack of that right used to discriminate against others.
But in order to vote, you need to be able to find out about the people and issues that matter. You need to be able to find out the facts. And doing that takes information.
