Cal OSHA COVID-19 Training

Calling all employees! Cal OSHA just rolled out a set of new required COVID-19 trainings for our safety. Please be sure to complete this training by the end of this month of June, 2021. Here’s what you’ll need:

1. This training is NOT in Keenen. Click here to get to it: https://trainingacademy.dir.ca.gov/page/on-demand-training-covid19
2. Click Sign in on the top right, and then click on the Sign Up tab. You will need to create a password of at least 8 characters.
3. Once signed up, click on the relevant training.
   • • Classified/Confidential Staff: Select the COVID-19 Training for California Workers
     • Admin/Managers: Select the COVID-19 Training for California Employers

…because apparently supervisors wear fashion-glasses with their hard hats J

• • • Watch the videos and answer the questions in each module

We are not tracking your completion of the training (as we can in Keenen), but we will be offering a discussion session for you to attend and ask questions about the training. Specific date is TBA.

Finally, supervisors will allow staff time to complete this training during normal work hours. The week the power is out at the  Eureka campus might be a great time!

Cal OSHA COVID-10 Prevention Plan

Save the date of June 29, 2021 at 10 am for training on the Cal OSHA COVID-10 prevention plan. The COVID-19 prevention plan is being updated (and may need further revisions after the Governor's June 15 announcement). In this session, Steve McKenzie, Julia Morrison, and Phil Clark, Keenen's Senior Loss Control Consultant/Risk Management will discuss the new plan. This will be followed by a question and answer session regarding the required Cal OSHA COVID training.

Additional Benefits to Employees because of COVID

In this training (date TBA), Human Resources will walk employees through the benefits afforded to them in the time of COVID-19. We will start with a discussion of the benefits, and then open the floor for questions and employee input.
