E-books: Accessing and Using

This guide shows you how to use each of the different kinds of E-books available at the CR Library

E-book collections

For the best way to find E-books about your topic, use "OneSearch" linked below. That will find print books, textbooks on reserve, E-books, videos on DVD or online in CR Library but also free, open-access, college level, online materials.  You can also search or browse each E-book collection by itself. Below are links to the collections, if you want to dive in and try them. Click the tabs for more information about each collection.

Remote Login Required

If you are off campus, or if you are using a wireless device while on campus, you may be prompted to login with your CR email address and password to get into the library's subscription databases or eBooks. Remote login is required to prove that you are a student at College of the Redwoods, because the library pays for student, faculty, and staff access for these resources based on our student enrollment. (Login is not required if you are using a computer connected to the main campus network.)

Citation Styles

Always ask your instructor what citation style should be used for research projects. See below for links to helpful resources.
