Coming Attractions!

  • OneSearch
A new way to connect to library resources!  OneSearch's (our name for ExLibris's Primo library catalog) is a "Discovery" platform that searches books, articles, databases, open-access resources, and more from a single search interface. 110 community colleges around the state are all migrating to this platform simultaneously, and the system is expected to "go live" sometime in December. Watch for announcements and information from the Library throughout Fall.

Please note: While you can search using the link above, it connects to a test load of our data and results will be highly variable and erratic at this time. Not all features work yet, and you may get unexpected results. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE OR BOOKMARK THIS LINK!

  • Academic Video Online (AVON)
AVON is a streaming video database from Alexander Street Press, and will be replacing our current video database (Films on Demand) as of January 1.  With over 68,000 titles including exclusive content not available elsewhere, and a pricing model that allows us to build a permanent collection of streaming media over time, we believe that this product will provide better support for the instructional needs of the college.  Content is captioned, and videos are segmented so you can use a short section or the complete title. A trial period will be set up in Oct-Nov. to allow faculty to begin searching AVON for appropriate videos to replace materials from Films on Demand.
