Websites from professional associations are useful sources of reliable information on trends and issues, although they typically will not count as "scholarly sources" for academic research purposes. However, some organizations may provide online access to their publications, which may be peer-reviewed. Be sure to follow guidelines from your instructor when using websites for your assignments.
The American Sociological Association is the nation's largest sociological association, and one of the oldest, founded in 1905. Among the resources available on their website are publications, pages of research on specific topics across the field of sociology, and the ASA Code of Ethics.
