The BJS collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.

The National Criminal Justice Reference Service provides data and reports on corrections, courts, crime prevention, criminal justice statistics, drugs and crime, international justice issues, justice grants, juvenile justice, law enforcement, research and evaluation, and resources for crime victims.

Provides reliable uniform crime statistics for the nation including violent, property and hate crimes as well as data on Law Enforcement Officers Killed.

The Sourcebook is an online resource organized into six sections covering characteristics of the criminal justice system; public opinion; crime and victims; arrests and seizures; courts, prosecution, and sentencing; and parole, jails, and the death penalty. Past editions are available in an online Archive.
