Coronavirus/COVID-19: Additional Research Sources

Resources and information about the novel coronavirus, Covid-19

Research Sources

Library Research Materials:

Because COVID-19 is a brand new disease (caused by a "novel" coronavirus), there is very little in the published literature that is specifically about it. If you are doing research for a school paper, you may find it useful to search in some of the library's databases or the library catalog using the following search terms:

  • COVID-19, 2019 nCoV, or novel coronavirus
  • SARS, MERS (these are two older types of coronavirus)

For general information about disease and public health, you may also search for terms such as:

  • Epidemic, pandemic
  • Public health
  • Epidemiology

The library catalog does contain some links to open access research papers on the current coronavirus, which should be available to anyone without logging in.  Access to eBooks in the library catalog will require you to log in with your CR ID.
