AVON: Academic Video ONline

Academic Video Online (AVON) is a video database available by subscription to libraries. CR Library provides this database free to students and college employees. Off-campus or wireless access users will be prompted to login with their WebAdvisor ID and eight digit birthdate.

AVON delivers ~68,000 titles spanning a range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. See the “channels” list with links below.

Videos in the database are primarily academic and related to courses and programs, and formats include: documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, demonstrations, and raw footage, previously unavailable archival material, thousands of award-winning films, including Academy®, Emmy®, and Peabody® winners. New material is added regularly.

Remote login is required to prove that you are a student at College of the Redwoods, because these library databases are not free, open website available to anyone.
